This component of the Sport Support Program assists national multisport service organizations in the delivery of programs and services to eligible sport organizations that pursue sport objectives shared with the federal government.

More Canadians watched amateur sporting events in 2005 than in 1998. The number of spectators increased from 7.6 million or 32% of adult Canadians in 1998 to 9.2 million or 35% in 2005.
