Please note that The Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act) is now in force. Federal not-for-profit corporations are required to transition to the NFP Act. All corporations incorporated under the old legislation must transition to the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act by October 17, 2014.

Canada Interactive Fund

The objective of the Canada Interactive Fund (CIF) is to support the creation of online Canadian interactive content and applications developed by Official Language Minority Community (OLMC), Aboriginal, ethnocultural and other not–for–profit cultural organizations.

Building Communities through Arts and Heritage

The Building Communities through Arts and Heritage program is designed to increase opportunities, through festivals or other events and activities, for local artists and artisans to be involved in their community and for local groups to commemorate local history and heritage.

Canada Cultural Spaces Fund

The Canada Cultural Spaces Fund seeks to improve physical conditions for artistic creativity and innovation. It is also designed to increase access for Canadians to performing arts, visual arts, media arts, and to museum collections and heritage displays.

Canada Arts Presentation Fund

The Canada Arts Presentation Fund gives Canadians direct access to a variety of quality artistic experiences by providing financial assistance to arts presenters and the organizations that support them.

Canada Arts Training Fund

The Canada Arts Training Fund contributes to the development of Canadian creators and future cultural leaders of the Canadian arts sector by supporting the training of artists with high potential through institutions that offer training of the highest caliber.

Canada Cultural Investment Fund

The Canada Cultural Investment Fund aims to strengthen organizational effectiveness and build capacity of arts and heritage organizations.

Approved projects for 2012-2013 – Canada Cultural Investment Fund – Strategic Initiatives Component

Canadian Film or Video Production Tax Credit (CPTC)

The objective of the CPTC is to encourage Canadian programming and to develop an active domestic production sector. This fully refundable tax credit is available at a rate of 25 percent of the qualified labour expenditure of an eligible production. The CPTC is jointly administered by the Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office (CAVCO) and the Canada Revenue Agency.

Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC)

The Film or Video Production Services Tax Credit (PSTC) is designed to enhance Canada as a location of choice for film and video productions employing Canadians, as well as to strengthen the industry and secure investment. The PSTC is available at a rate of 16 percent of the qualified Canadian labour expenditures incurred in respect of an accredited production. The Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office co-administers the PSTC program with the Canada Revenue Agency.

Canada Periodical Fund

The Canada Periodical Fund provides financial assistance to the Canadian magazine and non-daily newspaper industries so they can continue to produce and distribute Canadian content in the face of systemic disadvantages in the marketplace.

The Museums Assistance Program provides funding to Canadian museums and related institutions for projects designed to ensure that Canadians have access to and experience Canada's diverse cultural heritage.

Canada Music Fund

The goal of the Canada Music Fund is to: enhance Canadians’ access to a diverse range of Canadian music choices; increase the opportunities available for Canadian music artists and entrepreneurs; and, ensure that Canadian music artists and entrepreneurs have the skills, know-how and tools to succeed in a global and digital environment.
