What's New

Program Renewal

On June 26, 2009, Minister Moore announced renewal of funding for the arts. He also noted that the Cultural Spaces Canada Program will now be called the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund (CCSF) and that its funding will be kept at the current level for fiscal years 2011-2012 to 2014-2015. The program's mandate and objectives remain the same.

Economic Action Plan 2009

As part of the Government's Economic Action Plan 2009, an additional $60 million over 2 years was announced to stimulate the economy by investing in cultural infrastructure through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund (CCSF).

In response to this additional investment, which ended on March 31, 2011, a number of excellent projects were submitted. For further information on projects receiving support, please refer to the website on Canada’s Economic Action Plan: http://www.actionplan.gc.ca/initiatives/eng/index.asp?mode=5&initiativeID=133&clientid=30.
