About the Team – Building Communities through Arts and Heritage

Created in 2007, the Government of Canada’s Building Communities Through Arts and Heritage program seeks to increase opportunities, through support to festivals and other events and projects, for local artists and artisans to be involved in their community and for local groups to commemorate their local history and heritage. Its objective is to engage citizens in their communities through the presentation of local performing and visual arts, as well as through the expression, celebration and preservation of local historical heritage.
