How to Enter

The period to submit your entry for the 2013 Canada Day Challenge is now closed.

Good luck to all our participants!

If you are one of the nine finalists, you will hear from us before the end of May. Don’t forget to come back on this site in June to look at the winning entries.

You are invited to express what Canada means to you. Enter in one, two, or all three of the following categories:

DRAW IT!
Draw, paint, and sketch–you decide! If you love to create art, then this is the category for you. Draw inspiration from Canada's past and present to create a colourful poster design that highlights the theme Canada: Strong and Free.

SNAP IT!
This is your opportunity to inspire us with your angle on Canada's rich history and diverse character. Use your smartphone or digital camera and submit your best photograph that highlights the theme Canada: Strong and Free, and captures Canada through your eyes and lens! Please note that photographs may not include images of people.

WRITE IT!
If you love to write, then be sure to enter this category. Share your thoughts about what Canada means to you and capture Canada's amazing spirit in writing! Your original work can be a short story, a poem, or an essay that highlights the theme Canada: Strong and Free.
