What is RSS?
Would you like this Web site to tell you every time there is an update to the Newsroom? Essentially, this is what an RSS feed does.
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a common format for Web feeds. A feed will send you regular summaries of Web content, including headlines that link you to the full text or Web page. When you subscribe to a feed using an RSS, you will be able to access summaries of new Web content in one place.
How do I use an RSS news feed?
- Make your choice among the above categories.
- Click "Submit".
- Copy the URL from the address bar of your browser and paste it in the "add new feed" field of your RSS Reader.
- When news items are published, your news reader/aggregator will let you know through a small pop-up window or other alert device. If you close your news reader/aggregator, you will not be advised of updates until the next time you open it.
- If after reading a summary you want to view the full text, simply link to the full text document found on the web site.
