Policy Development
The Policy Development group at International Affairs provides analysis, research, and recommendations to the Department concerning the interface between the international environment and Canadian Heritage's domestic policies and programs. Some key issue areas include: cultural diversity; participation and inclusion of youth and ethnocultural minorities; intercultural and interfaith dialogue, rights and culture; identity and belonging; citizenship; social cohesion; and international cultural promotion. The policy group also promotes coherence across the Department and the Government of Canada by creating a broad and influential network of knowledge partners in the community, academia, and the public sector.
