Guillaume Corbeil (Montréal, Quebec)

picture of Guillaume CorbeilIn 2008, Guillaume Corbeil presented a collection of short stories entitled L’art de la fugue (Éditions L'Instant Même); he was nominated for a Governor General’s Award and received the Adrienne-Choquette Award in 2009. His first novel, Pleurer comme dans les films, was published by Leméac in September 2009. He also penned a biography on director André Brassard. In 2011, he finished the playwriting program at the National Theatre School of Canada. Since then, he has written three stage plays, Le Mécanicien, Tu iras la chercher and Nous voir nous, which will be performed at the Espace Go theatre in February 2013 under the title Cinq visages pour Camille Brunelle; which was translated into German.
