Transcript of the video of the artists who will Join Team Canada in Nice in 2013

On the first screen shot, we can see on the left side of the image a red maple leaf and on the right side of the image the logo of Games of La Francophonie 2013.

Team Canada Artists for the 2013 Games of La Francophonie.

In the background music is playing, a drumming beat, while we see the members of the dance troop Supernaturalz (category, street performances) doing hip-hop on a stage. There are people gathered around, watching the dancers.

Next, we see two dancers from the Maribé – sors de ce corps dance troop (category, original dancing), they are dancing in a creative way by spinning around.

Next performer shown is Samian, (category, song) the screen is black and white  he is sitting in a classroom beside a young girl writing , we can see him up close, then the background view fades and he is looking into the camera, in the back we can see  a piece of art, it looks like a painting.

Then the screen changes and you can see the digital creation of the artist named TiND’s (category, digital creation), they are  shapes of different colours, black, red and blue circles and lines moving at a very fast pace, projected on a black background.   

Then we see the cover of Guillaume Corbeil’s book (category, literature) the title of the book is L’art de la fugue. The book cover is white, with various designs such has: rope, cocktail, briefcase, rubic cube, hat, the top of the cover page is black with the title written in white.

Next, we see the sculpture of Jacquelyn Hébert’s (category, sculpture-installation). The sculpture is made of canoe paddles resembling the shape of a tent or a tipi.

Next, we see three of Arthur Desmarteaux’s very colorful paintings, (category painting), the first painting: a street, a house with a red roof and chimney on the left side, a yellow building with a hot air-balloon, a purpose car and a brown dog in the middle of the street. There are two people on the right side of the sidewalk, with some kind of a "funny" monster on the left side. The second painting is of a person riding a bicycle while passing a red two-story bus with people inside and a yellow taxi. The third painting: is a wall painting, with colorful designs and characters covering two corner walls.

After, we see Stéphane Guertin on a stage (category storytelling) he is wearing a long orange and red coat he is telling stories to a crowd.

Then a new screen appears and we see the dance troop Supernaturalz dancing, and a quick shot in black and white of the artist Samian  walking with a young man in front of him beside train tracks, followed by a piece of TiND’s digital creation, which shows black, red and blue moving circles. After this we can see two young women dancers from Maribé – sors de ce corps doing a comical dance (hitting each other in the head with their red purse), followed by a quick shot of Supernaturalz on stage.

The last screen shows the text logo “Canada” with the Canadian flag over the last letter “a”.
