Canada’s Federal Tourism Strategy

The Department of Canadian Heritage supports Canada’s Federal Tourism Strategy led by Industry Canada. The Strategy, launched in 2011, is designed to enhance the federal government's role as an effective partner with industry and other levels of government in support of an internationally competitive tourism sector.

Tourism provides an opportunity to showcase Canadian talent, creativity, heritage and sport, distinguishing Canada as a unique and exciting place to visit, live, and work.
