Together with the National Film Board of Canada, Telefilm Canada, the Canadian Television Fund, the Canada Council for the Arts, provincial governments and the private sector, Canadian Heritage plays a role in helping to sustain a strong domestic film and video industry in Canada. Through the Canadian Audio-Visual Certification Office (CAVCO), the Department also co-administers Canada's film and video tax credit programs with the Canada Revenue Agency.
