Youth Take Charge

The Government of Canada believes that creating opportunities for young people to become involved in youth-led activities in their communities will foster civic engagement and attachment to Canada.

Youth Take Charge (provisional name), announced on October 14, 2009, will provide support to established youth-service organizations with national or provincial/territorial reach to work with young people on projects in the fields of history and heritage, civic engagement and youth service, arts and culture, and economic activities.
