Marie-Mai (Quebec)
Marie-Mai is well on her way to becoming one of Quebec's top female artists of her generation. She's had nine No.1 hit singles in the Quebec charts. Shane Yellowbird (Alberta)
This rising Canadian country star garnered the most nominations by one artist at the 2007 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA), taking home the coveted "Chevy Rising Star" trophy. Shane Yellowbird was named "Aboriginal Entertainer of the Year" at the 2007 Aboriginal Peoples Choice Music Awards (APCMA) and has earned three consecutive Aboriginal People's Choice Awards. Gregory Charles (Quebec)
From the early age of 7, Gregory won many competitions as a classical pianist and was invited to represent Canada in performances around the world. His one-man show "Black and White" premiered in 2002 and was an instant hit, combining cabaret with his "human jukebox" ability to perform musical requests from the audience. It was credited platinum in 2004 and double platinum in 2005, and in 2004 he was Quebec's Personality of the Year. He also hosts shows on both CBC Radio and Radio-Canada, and for more than twenty years he has directed a youth choir. His 2006 album I Think of You, has sold nearly 400,000 copies, and in 2007, his first French album, Loin de la lumière, was one of the top Quebec albums. www.gregorycharles.com

Marie-Jo Thério (New Brunswick)
A popular Acadian performer and actress, Marie-Jo Thério signs in French, English and Chiac. In 1996, she was awarded the very first Felix Leclerc Prize for excellence, awarded to a young singer/songwriter/ composer at Les Francofolies Festival of Montréal. Her album Les Matins habitables won Best Folk/Contemporary Album at the Association québécoise de l'industrie du disque, du spectacle et de la vidéo (ADISQ) Award in 2006. Nico Archambault (Quebec)
This contemporary, hip-hop and jazz dancer was the grand winner of "So You Think You Can Dance Canada" 2008. Nico Archambault attended Louise Lapierre's dance school for 8 years, the Academy of Modern Dance of Montreal, and took workshops at the prestigious Centre du Marais in Paris, at the Broadway Dance Centre in New York and at the Millenium Dance Center and Edge Performing Arts Center in L.A. Nico has performed all over Canada, the USA, Cuba, Mexico, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Egypt. Nico joins forces with partner Wynn Holmes to create the innovative choreography team, Street Parade.

Alex Wells (British Columbia)
Born in Squamish, BC, Alex Wells (or Sisk'a Supisk) hails from Lil'wat Nation, one of the Four Host First Nations of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Alex's family started traveling to pow-wows when he was very young, performing across North America and overseas. Alex is a three-time World Champion of the Hoop Dance, a difficult and advanced dance style that tells the magical story of the creation of life. Together with his brother Chris Wells, Alex recently founded the Native Bear Spirit Dance Group, which combines traditional drum and dance to convey their rich, colourful native culture through performance. www.fourhostfirstnations.com

The Respectables (Quebec) with Gordie Johnson (Manitoba)
This multi-award winning group has sold more than 150,000 albums in Canada over their 15 plus year career. The Respectables' new album, Sweet Mama, is their first English album in 10 years. Cirque Fantastic Concept (Quebec)
Cirque Fantastic Concept is an impressive team of professionals specialized in circus show production. EVENING PRE-SHOW - EndlessSoundStories (Quebec)
Endlessoundstories is a Montreal-based DJ duo that specializes in reinterpreting music using new media and technology. Since 2007, Félix Léveillé and Alexis Ricard draw upon well-known DJ techniques (mashup, mix, scratch, break, sound design...) and combine them with technology to blur the line between production and reproduction. Endlessoundstories' objective is to combine a love of new media and fresh new sounds to create a holistic artistic experience.
K'naan (Ontario)
The grandson of Haji Mohamed, one of Somalia's most famous poets, and nephew of famed Somali singer Magool, K'naan is creating his own musical path fusing Hip Hop, reggae, folk, and African soul. His new album, Troubadour, features star performances by Kirk Hammett (Metallica), Chubb Rock, Mos Def, Damian Marley and Adam Levine (Maroon 5). www.knaanmusic.com
Cassiopée (Quebec)
With a background in musical theatre and classical dance and song, soprano Cassiopée first started making waves when she won the Interprète du Festival International de la Chanson de Granby prize in 2002, and gained a wider audience when she was cast in 2003 as Isabel in Don Juan, a role she performed in Quebec and again in Asia. Her self-titled album was released in 2006, leading to more roles in productions in both Quebec and France. This spring she appeared in the role of the witch Djinninia in Sherazade, les 1001 Nuits, onstage at the Olympia Theatre in Montreal, which opens in Quebec City in August. www.cassiopee.ca
